cant really see it being much different to a LHD conversion other than having to source RHD parts instead of LHD
we're RHD here and I did mine with a FJ70 steering box, we did my mates one with a 60 series steering box and personaly I'd say thats preferable over a 70 series box, also having said that there are forward facing pitman arm 70 series and rearward facing arm 70 series steering boxes depending on the model so be aware of which type your getting if you go down that road. The one I used was rearward facing pitman arm and I made that choice coz its all the same componants that are on my FJ75 cruiser so it means I have common parts and I had most of the bits sitting in the shed anyway
my truck already had a saginaw P/S conversion on it but it wasnt done very well and steered like s*** so I started again and re-did it in 70 series stuff, I got another steering shaft for the steering collum and had the round flange cut off the end and had a 14mm spline cut onto it, there was already a bearing in the bottom of the collum from the previous conversion to support the shaft in the bottom of the collum
I found a 14mm to 14mm U/J on a small toyota car steering rack and used that to connect the steering collum to a FJ70 collapsable steering shaft getting me down to the steering box, I had to burrow my way down through the battery box to get the collapsable shaft down to the front of the chassis
I mounted the steering box on the front of the chassis with 6mm plate on either side of the chassis rails with crush tubes, I had to tilt the steering box up as far as I could at the back to maintain clearance so the draglink didnt come in contact with the leafspring under suspension compression
I used an FJ70 tierod and draglink, they are heavier tube and bigger tie rod ends than the 40 series stuff and they were the right length without having to lengthen or shorten anything and put stronger 70 series steering arms on the swivel housings to replace the bent 40 series ones that were already on there
I had a new fitting made up for the steering box end of the pressure hose and have a bit of a collection for various pumps and steering boxes now
