many many MINI COOPER today on the road of MONTE CARLO HISTORIC RALLYE . sorry but y have no pics:crybaby: ..see you later:flipoff2:

not a happy camper today.............. my lift kit arrived today ..........Kit being the operative word.......springs came shocks came no bushing and no u bolts
and the wrong set of greable shackles ......wrong pin size ...........when u order a kit from a so called specialist you expect better and its not if i can go down the road to change them .........somehow i knew this would happen .......i think i knew more about lift kits than these guys pretend to know ..............one really angry phone call later i hope i have it sort as there sending out the right bits this time?
here hope after forking out 1500 euros for the kit you would expect more..............and i do hope the lift is what i expected if not ill be really p**sed

just tought of something and went out and checked !!!!!!!!!
the springs are wrong too.......................!!!!!!!!
there a 25mm bolt eye and they should be 35mm
bloody hell

after the mess with my lift kit which i hope i have sorted now but still have to wait for my wheels arrived from summit racing in 6 days from ohio to dublin not bad eh
landcruiser088.jpg

couldnt wait to get them on even in the rain

no lift on there yet and they fit without any spacers and there 3.75 backspace!!!!!

the mini was a 2 year project with lots of welding the cruiser is a bit different less welding and more research into the right bits

not much draging done over here ...i can only judge it by my lap times in mondello .........as the mini handles like a go kart so thats why lap time are so good not straight line speed....i could only guess at a 1/4 mile

most track records are help by go karts

ok got my power steering nearly sorted have a look at the mounting and let me know what u think .....iam on the look out for a shorter straighter pitman arm

because its a bj40 its a 24v system so that means to batterys so i had to make my left had side battery mount as the original wont work with were the steering box is mounted

these were all mock up and got into the right place then i am taken them off to clean and paint

Nice work!!

A couple of questions:

Did you weld in crush tubes for the steering box mount? Are you planning to mount all four bolts, or just a couple as shown in the picture?

How are you planning to deal with the interference of the radiator support?

Could you post another pic or two showng the mods to the shock tower? Which steering column are you going to use? A lot of people use a 55 series column, and I'm wondering if that is your plan too.

Cheers,

Chris
