Hello everyone, looking for some short advise on reinstalling my new waterpump on my BJ-74. The new pump came with a solid, or steel gasket, the gaskert has a lip on my side, does anyone know what side the lip goes on when putting the pump back on?

Also, do i use any threadlocker or gunk on the Bolts when bolting the Pump back on?

any Advise on bleeding the system when adding the new coolant, and tweh process to do so?

Thanks Any advise would be appreciated,

Brent

For pix, you need to buy a silver star.

My gasket was paper....and it only fits on the pump one way. You are referring to the gasket between the pump and the block, right? 13BT correct? I did not use thread lock...no point really. The bolts will generate their own iron oxide thread locker just fine.

Thanks rutbeer,
I bought the pump for a BJ-70, suppose to be the same,it came with a steel gasket, (pump and block.) Looks exact, i have the 13BT.
I hope the steel one is fine?
We'll see what happens, hitting the garage now.
