I get a slight click or tick in the front area of the truck on slow speeds, especially when turning. Gut tells me it's birf related.

Since the rig is down getting engine work, is there a quick check I can do to figure this out?

I have 225k on her, what do I need to replace / service?

225k? Nothing to "check", I can tell from here (285 miles away) that your front axle needs an overhaul. I'll send you my DVD. Then call CDan and he'll tell you what you need. The rest is labor...about 4 hours per side.

Thanks, oh great one!

Jim,

I should have known you would know this. Any idea of parts cost?

Parts are about $200 to $250 depending on which route you take for the bearings.
