I'm usually a stickler for OEM parts, but the components in the Cruiseroutfitters kits are good quality and work just fine. The only exception is that none of the aftermarket inner axle seals have as flexible of a sealing surface as the Toyota seals. I like to use Toyota inner axle seals with the rest of the Cruiseroutfitters kit. Wheel bearings aren't normally a PM replacement item. If do you need a wheel bearing, Timkens are the same from Autozone as they are from Toyota.

Totally understand that sentiment

Fwiw the bulk of our axle kits feature Joint Fuji, NOK/NAK seals and Koyo bearings... i.e. OEM quality parts, just not in a red box :D We do offer OEM Toyota inner axles seals for those preferring those, all in stock.

I have ordered and installed two of the kits from cruiser outfitters and can attest to the quality. $115 and you get everything you need in a nice little package. I didn't worry about ordering bearings, if they are bad, and mine weren't, a trip to autozone will get you a set of Timken. Do yourself a favor and buy this to go with the install http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-bearing-race-and-seal-driver-set-95853.html . It takes a couple of hours per side for the front rebuilds. Replace your rotors while your in there.

Another nod to the Cruiser Outfitters kit. Not that Toyota kit is bad, just got a great kit for less $, and I try to be uncompromising on this stuff

Well it looks like I am resurrecting an old thread. I need to rebuild and order new burfield's for my 94 LC? Could anyone tell me the best source word to acquire the parts? I know Cdan retired so where is the best best option? I'd like to get something closest to stock. Nothing special. Thank you in advance.

I did some serious price matching from several domestic vendors and international etc. I think i came in about 30 something dollars cheaper with the cruiser outfitters kit. Not 100% i know all the best vendors or their best shipping. I have a an aftermarket kit that i got for super cheap (30 dollars) that i keep in the truck in case i damage the other stuff on a trail or far from home. so i think in the end i paid 10 dollars extra than i would have from the next cheapest option of me sourcing it from various locations.

Just go with Cruiser Outfitters.
They know our rigs exceptionally well, and they have great customer service and excellent prices. Yes, maybe you could save a couple bucks by going elsewhere. But it would literally be a couple bucks.
When I serviced my front axle for the first time a few years back I went way down the rabbit hole looking for the best kit (quality wise, and completeness) and price. I ended up with Cruiser Outfitters.
Then they sent me their kit, and one of the paper gaskets was folded in transit. I just called them up, and they sent me a new one right away, no questions asked. That's solid customer service.
Cruiser Outfitters FTW, no doubt.

Call Cruiser Outfitters. Take the time to talk with them about what you are doing. It is such a joy talking with a professional that understands the rig. I prefer to deal with people who know what they are doing vs the parts counter data input people.

Does Joey at Wits End have a rebuilt kit? He has really grown his business from the ground up. Plus, his OCD kicks in and everything has been spot on from my experience.
