Just picked up a 73 fj40 with stock motor and tranny, previous owner says new clutch and everything, feels tight. My ? is when i first take off its like something is binding, its hard to get trolling but, if you put it in reverse and then forward no problem. I thought at first it might be a brake sticking but jacked it up and all wheels roll freely. Thought i would put it on here and get some feed back. (Its sitting on 35's fyi)

Post some pics or send them to me !!!! Check the parking brake my kids had the bolts sheered off drum and everything was spinning like a top inside and binding. ( Dad the truck sounds funny )

Howdy! If its' on 35's, It MAY be lifted. That, in turn, MAY compromise the driveshaft ujoint angles. John

Rob, the parking brake works fine. That was my first thought as well. This 40 has a fiberglass tub and hood so no stinking rust. Thanks for the response. Z

I still want to come out and pick it up when you have a truck load ready to ship. My 78 is still rusty, lol.
