For those who are running Bilstein 5125 shocks, how have you managed to mount the shock onto the bottom pin (front shocks)?

I have just put the Bilstein shocks on the rear. I have the early model 60 with the 16mm (5/8) shock pins in the rear, so the Bilsteins mount straight on, no problem. However the lower front shock mount is a 3/4 (19mm) pin as all 60 series are.

I haven't ordered the front shocks yet as I am still making my mind up whether to buy 'pin to eye' adaptors or install some Ford shock towers for the top mount.

Well, I have 5150s, so I'm not sure how the 5125s are, but I just unscrewed the eye, and threaded the new pin on. Took 30 seconds on each side. You may want to think about those... The part number should be in my "Alcans are...." thread.

Cheers!

The eyes are welded on the 5125 shocks.

I've found a solution anyway.... OME make a bush that goes into the small eye of the shock, but has the 19mm ID hole. Part number is OMEB9. Just have to wait until Monday when the ARB shop opens to order some.

Ah. nevermind. I mis-read your post as to something to do with the upper shock stud.

I just took a reamer bit for my drill, and drilled it out to 3/4. It slid on with a little lithium grease to coax it.... That is, if you want to do it free.... If not, go for the bilstein 19mm bushes.

That's what I did on the rubber bushing that I put in my 7100s. The 7100s come with heims but rubber bushings are available making it easier to fit stock vehicles. The place that I bought the bushings from actually offered to drill them out with a unibit for me - apparently they do it all the time.
