I think this topic has been beaten to death and after reading about 50 threads, I'm still not clear on if there is an off the shelf 5100 that can be used on the front of the LC200. It's my wife's ride primarily, so I'm not planning to go carolina-squat with the front end, maybe lift it .5-1" to level the truck, and hoping to avoid doing UCA's. I've had 5100's on several vehicles now and love the ride, hence the desire to go with them again.

If one of the suspension guru's could set me straight, I'd appreciate it.

I personally haven't seen 5100s for the 200. What most go for the Bilstein route is swap out for a Tundra UC/LC arm and then fit in the 6112s or 5100s. 6112s run for about $600 for the set up front, theres is no cheaper 2.65" diameter coilover out there. Next option for 2.5" are King 2.5s which run about $1800+

If all you are looking to get is .5-11/2" lift up front, just add spacers.

Toyota makes factory 10mm spacers that net almost 20mm of lift. Beyond that, there are a couple companies making spacers foenthe 200, and just about any 2007 newer tundra spacer will work and will be cheaper.

UCAs aren't needed till you go beyond 2" lift.

So far Bilstein only makes the 4600 as a direct bolt on replacement for the 200 series LC. Talking to Bilstein directly earlier in the year, they said a newer higher performance shock was on the way, but no ETA.

The Tundra 6112's do directly bolt on to the 200s, but you will need UCAs and the minimum lift is 2".

Not to be picky but the 6112 was not designed for the 200, so it's not a direct bolt on. I'm all for it though, UCA's and all. What was needed was a matching rear shock, that proved to be issue for most. Lots of threads hear on Mud documenting all of it.

In random happenstance, I ran into Stan Demas, Head of Product Management at Bilstein this weekend (he was on the ground under my truck as I walked up to it), his group is working on the 200 Series applications. I've sent him info on this forum and asked he join and get active. They are developing the 6112/5160 setups as already identified, as well as an 8000 series (similar to the TRD Pros). More to come, I've offered up some local 200 series (the owners are not yet aware though roflmao). He can also have mine, but understands I have the Tundra front end however so he'll need a stock rig in addition.

These guys are in San Diego, I'd say we start w/ some local guys and see if anyone is willing to loan out their truck. @RET2 @Markuson and there are a few others. They need a stock vehicle (doesn't mean you can't have replaced upper arms/suspension, but can't have Tundra front end of course). They are developing their own spring for the rear application which is nice, no more matching to other brands. If there's anyone in SD area willing to support Bilstein application development side mail and I'll loop you into an email thread w/ their product development team.

Edit: they mentioned their springs should be in about 3 - 4 weeks from now which is when they'd like to begin testing.

I'm up for being the test platform and have New Years run in Death Valley planned , lots of washboard and a few rocks too. That's funny I just drove by their Poway facility an hour ago.
