I have a tundra that I upgraded the suspension so I have a set of the bilstein 4600 laying around. Well these fit my 2001 land cruiser? Or would I be better off buying the ome shocks from Toyota? I know the one aren't very expensive, but thought I might be able to try the bilstein since they are just sitting. Thanks for any help! My first post here

You can try them, you may or may not like them though. Very mixed reviews because they are shorter and reports of failures. You could get much better for equal or less $$ IMHO.

for stock OEM From toyota is best option, cheap ride good on a stock 100 that doesnt see intense offroad duty. I rocked OEM shocks all through 100s in the hills, Cruise Moab and 5 months of random trails in CO. That said I am upgrading to Tough Dog when I return to the States....

Thanks guys. I wasn't even sure if they would fit, just debated on trying them since they are just collecting dust. I think I will just go with the OEM though. Are you guys all drilling the holes? I'm pretty sure these are the stock shocks so worried about getting them off. I do have a 22 mm ratcheting wrench so I will give that a try first. Thanks again!

+1 on the Tough Dog. Love mine. Definitely upgrade to the adjustables in the rear, well worth the extra coin.

Do it right, don't drill holes. The passenger side rear is not bad, you can get leverage on it. Driver's side is tougher. If you can't get the driver's side rear off, a local tire shop will do it for you for cheap (everything is easier with a lift and not lying on your back!). I had the flex-head Gear Wrench, and a pipe wrench for holding the shock, on my rust-free Florida LC ... and I still could not budge the driver's side rear. Cost me $45 to get it swapped at a local shop. Money well spent.

I also suggest not to drill holes. I had AHC and my top nuts were very rusty. Ended up using a sawzall to remove my old shocks. There’s ways around drilling a hole in your perfectly nice truck.
