Maybe it's just the way the picture looks, but is the surface that mounts to the engine diameter the same?

These are not for a 2F, are they?

They are a larger diameter than the smaller filter. However, the gasket diameter is the same between the two. These will certainly fit your 2F.

A larger filter will give you more surface area to run the oil through. However, the real advantage to these filters is their construction, and the media that is used is superior to newer style OEM filters.
