BFG ATs still good tires ?

What do you mean still? I've had two sets, they both sucked balls.

Depends on your intended use and geographic location- I've had them on two vehicles, very hard compound, not great at any one thing but well made and will last forever (sounds like the definition of an AT). I prefer the Duratrac as an AT that sees snow, sand, some rocks, and I have them on my 80 out west- surprisingly quiet/good ride on the way to the trail as well and they have a softer compound than the BFG.
Following input/advice from other forum members, I recently put Nitto TG on my 100 and I am very happy with these as well, seems to be a good tire for 90% highway, 10%offroad, but haven't had enough snow this year to test them.
In summation, I would run GY Duratrac or Nitto TG before I would go back to BFG AT's but all three have good reputations and strong followings on the forum, HTH.

I have had BFGs, Open Counrtys and Duratracks on various rigs and I must say that the Duratracks hold the edge in total performance. Better in the snow than the bfgs by far, better than the open countrys in the snow (opens are also great winter tire) less tire noise than bfg too. much better than both in the mud. Wear seems to be great given the rubber compound seems a lot softer than the bfg, and in canada they have a road hazard/tread warrenty, no the case any more with the bfgs.
