Hey all

I just noticed a post on Mud where I was reprimanded for being in NC and not being active here. Sorry ! I actually do read this board from time to time but I may not have ever introduced myself. I've been a member of Mud since the SOR boards migrated there in 2003. I hosted the SOR "archive" for a number of years for reference before retiring it completely last fall. I live near Burlington, closer to Graham actually. A couple of months ago I ran into another local Mud member for the first time, I believe he goes by S4Cruiser here. I admired his very pretty 40th anniversary 80 for a while before we said our goodbyes.

I own a '94 80 that I've built for expedition type wheeling. ARB and Slee armor, ARB rack, ARB lockers, OME lift on 315s, Warn 12k, etc. I also have an 1983 FJ40 I bought from the original owner out of Utah. Pretty low miles, no rot, very little rust, all OE with factory PS and AC. I'm being pretty much a purist with it, minor noninvasive and OE mods only, things like OE factory foglights from Mot and a beefy hidden stereo upgrade that keeps the factory radio in the dash.

Mine is white, but no ARB side rails. I think I know the truck you're talking about... I've seen it around before but have never met the owner. I've driven past it several times on 119 near Mebane.

I would love to start attending some of the wheeling tips and will be spending more time here watching out for them.

Looking for pics to post I realize though I'm usually the guy with the camera when out wheeling, I have no current pics of my own rigs. All I could find is this crappy cell phone shot of my 40... when the weather clears I'll get some decent pics.

Yep that was me with the 40th...glad that you'll join us for some events/rides.

I just picked up a 40 last weekend, so we'll have to meet up one day in Burlington...I'd love to your 40 in person (gorgeous truck btw). Just shoot me a PM.
