Need to swap the water pump on my 5.7.
What the best brand/source for OEM?

Toyota parts deal or partsouq will have the best pricing, this should be a oem part with gasket for sure. Aftermarket are all Chinese crap! If you need it write away maybe your local dealer will give you a discount if you show them internet pricing. I have also ordered of Amazon before for aisin water pumps. They are the oem manufacturer. Good luck

I went ahead and ordered from the dealership. I’d rather have it right than replace this thing again! China parts suck and might be what’s on there now causing the leak is my guess.

Post pics of it.......I'm curious if it is a Toyota branded Aisin.
Is that some leakage in your pic? How many miles on your truck?
Thinking I want to do this to my 2014 that has 120k miles at some point, or at least be ready to do it.

I picked the wrong picture lol.
I haven’t picked it up yet, but when I do, I’ll let you know.
Based on the maintenance records, it was replaced about a year ago @ 156k. Not sure why it would be leaking already though.
It’s got just over 170k now.
I noticed an antifreeze smell months ago - actually shortly after I bought it in July and have been keeping an eye on fluid levels ever since. With summer coming, supply chain issues etc. I pulled the trigger on ordering it now. I want to swap it out in a few weeks.

Yeah that's weird and definitely too early to be having problems.
I wonder who did the work, what pump they used and what they did to mess it up :cautious:........didn't clean off and seal it correctly or torqued bolts incorrectly (or not enough) maybe???

First two weren’t at a dealership, the last one was. It’s really concerning. Wondering if there’s something wrong with the surface of the engine block. Several “check coolant level” items too

Yeah! I’m curious if it’s just a loose bolt/connection on this one. 10k miles isn’t a very long life span for a WP.

I replaced the WP on our ‘15 LC at ~110k. Ordered Aisin from worldpac and it looked like this: OEM top, aisin bottom.

It’s pretty clear they are the same part with the Toyota ground off.
