I’m about to replace rear hydraulic shocks on 2010 LX. Factory springs are soft to start with plus worn out from towing. Should I replace with new OEM springs or are there any aftermarket options available for LX which would benefit towing 7000lbs trailer?

If I can ask a few clarifying questions:
1. How much tongue weight is the trailer (1,050 / 15%) ?
2. How much installed weight is in your LX in terms of aftermarket gear and cargo?
3. Are you sensor lifted?

AHC isn't exactly like a traditional suspension. It has a lot of capacity and can be augmented further by adding pre-load rather than increasing spring rates.

I would recommend a 20-30mm rear spring spacer while keeping stock springs. (sensor lift will require more compensation). New spring aren't really necessary.

Also critical to this is proper hitch and weight distribution setup. The geometry in particular of having the ball as close and tight to the rear bumper as possible to reduce cantilevered loads on the ball will give the best chance for any suspension to manage loads.

Done right, 1200lbs tongue weight and 2000lbs payload isn't out of the question and AHC will handle that just fine.

Thanks for the info. All stock, no sensor lift, no towing issues, not sure of the tongue weight. Can you provide good source of the 20-30 mm spacers?

Sure, Amazon link already embedded in post #3

Clever, spacers and reuse old springs, what is involved in the install, just use spring compressors on the vehicle, do they affect the cones in any way and will fall apart after some time?
Also since I’m all stock, no sensor lift should I got easy with 20mm vs 30? I’m about to replace the globes with the shocks and want to keep the ride as comfortable as possible.

Spring compressor, floor jack, and socket wrenches will do.

No concern to these falling apart. They're lifetime components. Won't impact the cones though I've been through enough spacers that sometimes they will need just a bit of clearance to fit over the cone.

Without sensor lift, 20mm should do the trick.

I had 30mm spacers installed a few months after buying my LX (some 7 years ago now). My cones had to be trimmed in order for the spacers to fit over them. No issues since.

Question, is the spacer going on top of the cone or is it replacing factory spacer in the photo below 48373

Between the cone and the spring in the same configuration where the factory spacer would be. As far as I know, USDM models were never fitted with the factory spacer.
