How hard does that 10W7 hit? I am thinking going 12 or 13 or maybe even 15 W7
For me the 10W7 has plenty of punch. I listen to a lot of Classic rock (Eagles, Pink Floyd, Queen, etc) and country. That said on the occasions when do I listen to rap/hip-hop or w/e the sub has plenty of power to shake me, the mirrors, and the license plate. That said, I care more about sound quality than being the loudest guy on the street.
I dont think JL makes a 15 anymore, and also it is extremely important that you get an amp that has the right amount of power, JL's site has a graphic that shows the "optimum" power, you really really need to get an amp that is close to that power level. The shop I had my stuff installed at loaned me an Alpine PDX-5 for a week until they got the JL amp, it sounded awful with only 300W going to the sub, muddy and zero accuracy. Now with 500W, its a totally different sub, absolutely amazing IMO.
Also consider that these are BIG subs, the 10W7 ProWedge was a little bigger than expected, still worth it though. Also the ProWedge I have is sealed, ported would probably be significantly louder.
Lastly, my windshield developed a a single long crack the two weeks before i had the system put in. It didnt get any bigger for two weeks, then I had my system put in and it grew about 5 inches in a 4 days.......so yes it has some power.
Going to do this as well soon.....I'm excited to hear the JL's fit....Amazon has the JL C2650X for $130....great price for a more budget friendly set up!
Infiniti also has some good choices.

Yeah, I was really surprised the the C5 mid-woofer fit in the front doors. The C2s are a really good speaker, especially for the price.
