What is the best engine to put in the 91 Fj as far as difficulty, wiring,,and fuel economy. I have heard a 5.7 is the standard, but what about a Yota V-8? I want more power than my old 3FE can put out. I am set on Fuel Ingection. Probably going to pick up a roll over so, I will have a complete care to work from.

The 350 Chevy V-8 is the most commonly swapped motor into anything and everything. Parts are more readily available, and cheaper than anything Toyota. That said, any swap, is a pain in the but and will cost more and take more time than you ever dreamed.
If I was swapping though - I'd go diesel, just cause of the price of gas and the gain in ecconomy.
