I'm looking to replace the stock unit from a 98non navi cruiser. I want something with a knob that controls volume and would like it to be touch screen. Backup cam would be nice but don't need it. Looking to spend 300-500 thanks

I got a JVC KWV20BT that I really like. It was less than $300, touchscreen with volume knob, has integrated bluetooth, DVD, speaker phone, connections for backup cam. It doesn't have nav, but I wasn't something I was looking for. I'm sure there are nicer units out there, but it was everything I wanted for the price. Looks good, sounds good, and works great...I paid $280 for mine, and it looks like it's going for $266 now, with free shipping.

I have an old Kenwood DNX-6140. Put it in over 4 years ago, so not sure what's current on the market, but had the same requirements as you, navi, knob, and backup camera. Went with DVD, XM, and BT as well. Love the Garmin GPS, I can hookup laptop and download 7.5 min. topo's to the head unit. Not sure if new ones can do that still? Have micro USB cable from back of HU to the glove box. Got mine raman'd from Crutchfield. Was closer to a grand all in, but it you delete XM and DVD screen, you could get closer to your price point.

I put in the Orion AVR6.1 with camera, nav, ipod, usb etc.
Nice but it might be a bit more expensive for you.

Mine came with a Pioneer touch screen. It does well. But I'm a geek, so if I had it to do again, I'd splurge and go with an Alpine.

Go out to Crutchfield and just see what works on your vehicle.
