Well, its almost 100% done.

Looks sweet as hell. Its welded up, and it needs lotsa grinding to it still. Then it needs lights recessed into it (Ill post a pic later) and backup sensors mounted.

AJ cut the tupperware rear bumper in order to save the upper section. It still snaps into the body just fine, and the bumper also holds it in on the bottom half of the plastic...

I didn't intend on going up there today, it was either stay home and work on my Tacoma, or go up there and help and take some pics...also AJ got a new welder....I LOVE it, it makes MY welds look good. Really easy to use, and SUPER powerful. I was having so much fun just welding away with it....

There will be a flip-down step added on each side for a better access to the roof rack...

This FJ also has a jerry can setup on his roof rack....kinda cool.

Backup lights will get recessed into the corners...

The owner of this FJ painted up his rear spare tire cover, looks pretty nice.

He already has a Revtek lift, and is running 295/70/17's on it. They are Toyo Open Country MT's.

He is getting front and rear bumpers, and sliders....ALL powdercoated.

The Toyota hitch receiver mounts under the stock bumper.

Will it still be able to work that way with this bumper?

And will the backup sensors be able to me mounted on this new bumper?

Tell em to put those bolt holes on the front bumper too. I want the ability to put my receiver and receiver-winch on the front. It's also a plus for moving trailers around (like the four I have) and for people that can't back up their boat at the boat launch (like my wife!).

Backup sensors will be on there....thats no problem at all.

As far as the STOCK hitch, Im not sure. This owner does not have one...but I do. I think the lower lip would need to be notched for the stock hitch to work, but again, not sure. (there is a small piece of metal that helps to give it the 'finished' look on the bottom side of the bumper)...

I myself won't do any towing, so I wont need a hitch....this owner wants a hitch, and Im not sure of how AJ will fab it up. He is all for high clearance, and anything sticking below the bumper is Rock-bait in his mind (as well as mine).

Don't know anything about the offsets of the wheels. He had Les Schwab install the lift and the wheels and tires. He said to me that Les Schwab has the FJ in their 'data sheet' and thats what they purchased them off of. They did not appear to stick 'out' any further then stock wheels, when looking down the side of the rig...

I dont think they did anything other then the spacer lift and new wheels....well, they DID manage to scratch one of his fender flares pretty good during the lift installation...

Those HOLES are what attaches the bumper to the frame...Those are the stock holes for the tow hitch option. There are 4 bolts facing back, and two more on the bottom side of the rear frame.

The front of the frame has 'horns' which the bumper mounts to. Totally different mounting methods....

Can you tell me what Les Schwab would have done the work?

Not 100% sure...but Bentup's shop is on the north side of I50 (Sunrise exit) in Rancho Cordova, CA....there is a Les Schwab on the south side of the freeway..(like within a half-mile of bentup's shop).....I assume that one did it, but since its a large chain, there could be more then one in the greater Sacramento area...and I could be wrong.

I just called every Les Schwab in a 5 mile radius and no one knows anything about it. Is there any way you can find out? I simply want to know if you can run the 295' MT with just a 3 " lift. I have seen people modifying the mounts in the front to run bigger tires but I do not want to do that.

There's only one Les Schwab in Davis, CA (I'm only guessing that the owner had the work done near the dealership where the rig was purchased).

But, then again ... there's a post above that say that it's in the Les Schwab system, so every store should have it.

The owner of the rig lives in Elk Grove, from what I hear, thats where his install was done....but I have not talked to him....did you talk to that location?

I can TELL you that he IS running 295's with a revtek spacer lift.

Although I must add, this person does not seem like the offroading type. I dont know how well those 295's will STUFF when articulated...either front or rear. I can only assume there will be issues, especially since he is getting full armor and a winch up front. That 3" revtek lift might end up being 2" once all the armor and winch is added. I have asked AJ to take measurements though, with stock bumper and with winch bumper; so that we all know the difference....
