Does anyone have experience with Ben Lifted in Santa Cruz? Planning to do the AHC to OME swap there as it is closest to my house. Also my wheel bearings need work as the steering is wobbling at speed and braking.

Thanks,

- Gary

Could never get a call or email back from them.
Greg at Cental Coast 4x4 is where I'd suggest.
if its just a lift and bearings I have a really good mechanic that will come to you.
Dont know what AHC means in Ahc to OME

. . . hum . . . ^ this thread is over a year old!

Hi!

I'm in Santa Cruz for a few days, mid-6,000 mile road trip, and looking for someone that can help me work on my '87 FJ60. The most pressing item is adjusting my carb for sea level (currently tuned for 9,000 feet - coming from Telluride, CO), though I do have a few other issues I'd like to trouble shoot if time and $$ permits.

Any mechanic or home shop recommendations would be much appreciated!

For just a carb adjustment you could go near anywhere. Dos Amigos auto repair would be great for carb work and do you right. If you need a toyota expert I can recommend some other folks. I guess there are some kids out there that have become mechanics in an age of fuel injection and coil packs who might not be good with carb. work.
