gents,
New to the 200, and had issues with 100 when hooking up trailer lights. On the 200 I hear a belt squeal sound when the trailer is hooked up, could this be an issue with the harness, alternator or something else? On the 100 I had to get a trailer shop wire directly to the battery, or else I would have crazy electrical issues as soon as I hooked up the trailer's lights, like the AC would stay on even after I turned the truck off, etc until I unplugged the trailer then it would go back to normal...help please.

thanks

I hear their may be a potential issue with the trailer module on 2008s, can anyone confirm, is there a TSB?, I have searched high and low

well, I found out it has nothing to do with the trailer/towing. I drove 3 hours on Wed and it started to squeal again...looks like new belt needed? It doesnt do it all the time which is strange...

Probably the belt, but check if you waterpump is leaking. My waterpump was leaking at 60k, but didn't exhibit any squealing.

found out it was the tensioner, got it replaced under warranty at Dealer (but had to pay for the belt of course)
