My landcruiser didn't have AHC, so I didn't have to worry about that.

I would absolutely do the diff drop. It should help protect your CVs, although sometimes even that doesn't help.
I noticed my passenger side CV is spitting grease after 4wheeling this past weekend.

A couple other issues - the lift has settled a little over the past couple months, so the front tires rub the rear inside wheel a little bit when turning while flexing - mostly an annoyance.
Also I need to adjust the steering wheel bump stops, because the tires rub the frame rail at full turn.

Other than that I still really like the setup!

did you use the heavy load kit or the medium load? and do you knw what springs came with the kit that your using?

Your 100 looks great...

Just curious what all of that cost you? I'll take a stab, and say $4,000?

haha!! ya...still around Dan...hell, I might even make Pismo this year. RU going? Oh ya...anyone got any 18's they want to sell?:)

Hey man, where you been? I thought about selling the 18's but I think I'm going to keep them since this is mainly the wifey's grocery-getter.

I'm running 275/70 18s right now (i.e. 33" x ~11").

any chance of posting a Pic of your 275/70 18 's ?

I think the 75's would cause grief after the springs settle post OME lift

thanks

The rear springs are OME 860 - once I get a rear steel bumper, I'll probably upgrade to the heavy duty ones.

I replaced the passenger side leaking CV axle this weekend.
That is a pain in the butt - more difficult than replacing a CV Axle on a 3rd gen 4Runner. On the 4Runner you just have to remove the 4 lower bolts and swing the steering knuckle out of the way.

On the LC you have to separate both the lower and upper ball joints and remove the whole knuckle.
I attempted to just separate the upper ball joint and "see-saw" the CV axle out (leaving the lower ball joint connected - as suggested by another thread), but that didn't work.

Another side note : I hate separating ball joints with inadequate tools (2 jaw pullers, pitman arms, etc). I've already broken a couple cheap harbor freight tools.
I am going to order the SST specifically for these two ball joints.

I'm not sure who the manufacture is but the tool you can rent from VatoZone for free works well.

Got the truck back from Slee with the OME lift and 90k maintenance done.
Put on the step sliders and new mud tires today.

The tires were rubbing a little on the front bumper, so I trimmed it a little bit (as you can see in the after pic).
I won't know how much more they rub until I take it off-road. At full turn they don't touch anything so far.

Since I bought it two weeks ago:
-Husky floor mats (all)
-Tint front windows
-90K maintenance
-OME Lift + diff drop
-Toyo Open Country MT 285/75R18 tires (35.1" x11.6")

I don't think I can get away with any more mods for awhile unless I really charm the wife :p

Upon finding this site, I'm learning how ridiculously obsessed I am with wanting to modify my cruiser. Yours looks great. I live 15 mins from Slee and I can't wait to get started with sliders and bigger tires. I was curious if you've done anymore modifications as this post was years ago.
