Visalia, Calif. (December, 2016) – Hellwig Products, an industry leading manufacturer of towing, hauling and performance suspension products, has released its new front and rear sway bars for the 2007-2016 Toyota Land Cruiser 78/79 Series and 200 Series. Hellwig’s new sway bars are the quickest way to improve both the handling and safety of the Land Cruiser.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the most popular SUVs ever built thanks to its classic Toyota reliability and its capabilities both on and off-road. Though Toyota equips the Land Cruiser from the factory with a front and rear sway bar, they are undersized and not capable of providing adequate roll control while towing, hauling, especially in heavier, armored applications. With the addition of Hellwig front and rear sway bars drastic improvements can be made to handling and body roll control, making the vehicle safer and more capable. The increased anti-roll rate of the upgraded sway bars helps compensate for the additional weight from vehicle armor, heavy loads, or the higher center of gravity on lifted vehicles.
Hellwig’s upgraded sway bars are forged from heat treated 4140 Chromoly steel. All four sway bars for the different series Land Cruisers are shown in the table below. Each sway bar is finished in Hellwig’s “Hammertone” powder coat for all-weather durability, comes with upgraded polyurethane bushings for noise-free operation, and reuses the factory end links and mounting points making installation a breeze.
