I read this article http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Heavy+rain+train+derailment+Burnaby/9376602/story.html
and was thinking, wow, I know where this is at. I go to this spot where greybar is located. The last time, was two months ago and beavers cut down two or three alder trees on the other side of a fence, next to the parking lot. Two of them fell into the parking lot. I did also see the train tracks next to these trees. At first I was thinking this was strange and did not see a source of water.
Our area has been hit with lots of rain as of late. The dam washed out which probably under cut the railroad ties. Who's responsibility is it to prevent these washouts?
