Is a group buy going to happen for the Beat Sonic anytime soon? I'd like one but am balking at the $750 price tag...

They’re $750 nowDid they raise the price? Bought mine for $650 all in. IMHO, if you do not care for wireless CP/AA, it is the best cost-benefit around.
Got it. Maybe they had to up the prices because of the whole chip conundrum. I have not done this, but I would compare their price with the other solutions discussed in this forum and crosscheck with the functionalities you need. Again, for the basics I think they are the cheapest, but don't quote me on that. Good luck. They’re $750 now

Me tooI need one too.
That is promising!Been running mine since October 2021 and it has been very solid. Three major trips (2000miles+ each) and it has performed flawlessly. Like I said, IMHO if you only need Carplay and do not have a problem with using the wire, this is the unit to buy. No frills or additional apps or YT, Netflix, etc. Just simple CP. The only minor (to me) issue I had was with the factory GPS that stopped working about one month after I installed. Not sure if it is interference or if I messed up with the connection when installing the BeatSonic unit. I have exchanged emails with Eric - from BeatSonic and he suggested I might want to check the connection in the back, but for that I need to pull the dash apart and I am just not in the mood to do that again. It is a real pain, since the vehicle is so solid. Everything is really tight and you need a heck of patience to do so. Since I never use the crappy factory GPS, I do not care to fix it. I would definitely recommend the BeatSonic unit.
I just installed it, read directions and did everything correctly. Pins set in the right locations, etc.Been running mine since October 2021 and it has been very solid. Hi, just wondering if this issue was resolved or if you ended up returning the device? I’m currently looking for a CarPlay solution and was going to pull the trigger on Beat Sonic but just read your message about sound quality.I just installed it, read directions and did everything correctly. Pins set in the right locations, etc.
What I'm noticing is that the OEM sound quality, especially at high volume is way off (and yes, I did adjust the EQ). I'm wondering if this is because they're routing the sound through RCA jacks whereas before it was through harnesses. I love everything else about it (carplay is great) but I think I may return this. Sound is definitely very important to me. Anyone else experiencing the same when it comes to the music quality?
I am in my second unit. Sold my 2018LC and now have a 2020LCHE. One of my first (and only other than tires) "mod" was to install the Beatsonic unit. Yes, it is now wireless and has been working great, except when I go through some intersections where the lights have some sort of radio frequency interfering with the wireless signal. Not all lights, just specific ones. However, I noted the same happens in other wireless systems, so I do not think it is exclusive to BT.Did anyone else have problems with the sound quality? I am also wanting to pull the trigger but this would be a concern...also it is wireless now right?
The current method for their unit is to use Bluetooth Audio instead of routing it through the crappy analog cables via AUX in. This works well and is the same as as stock basically for sound quality.Did anyone else have problems with the sound quality? Can't speak for Grom, but I am in my third BT, started with my 2017 4runner trd pro, installed in my previous 200 and now in my HE. Always been a great system and after becoming wireless even better. No adds or frills like some other units that give you Netflix, amazon or a bunch of other android apps. Just pure CP or AA. Works well for me. Installation is NOT a breeze, but the YT videos and customer support are super helpful. In terms of price, seems to be one of the best cost x benefit equations. What are people’s thoughts on these? I just got another lx and have been looking at beatsonic and grom.
