When I was at the SEMA show I saw a two piece beadlock rim in the Hutchinson booth (they make the Humvee rims) that said it was for the Land Cruiser. It was a 5x150mm pattern, which is what the 100 series uses, correct? I thought that you guys would be interested.

They are 17s, so you would have a wide selection of tires to chose from. I imagine that these aren't going to be cheap (I'd guess $400 each) but for those guys that are pushing the limits of the 100 series these may be a good option. I would only consider them if you are running L shocks though. ;)

I saw that wheel last year at SEMA, and thought it was great that someone actually made a B-lock for the 100 .

It lookes like a very high quality rim, the only thing I wasnt sure about was the assy bolts/nuts sticking out so far around the outer edge....It seems as though they would catch on rocks, at least on a lot of trails I have been on

That is the wheel we ran on the UA. High quality and a really nice double beadlock that is DOT approved.

We did beat on them pretty hard and yes, the bolts sticking out is a little prone to damage, but they do have caps for them. Also, they are easily replacable.

The feedback that I gave them is that it would be nice to have a design where the wheel protects those bolts a little more.

They are easy to mount, but a little bit of a bear to dismount in the field. We had to change a tire that was cut and it took some doing.

Nice wheel shot Christo !

How low (PSI) did you run them ? ... Its does look like you put them to the test .. You said it was bit of a bear to change tires, did you have to dismount then mount a new tire on the same rim ? ...I could see how that wouldnt be much fun :frown:

Yes, we had to replace the tire. It was more a case of not having the right tools, even though we had a whole BFG truck there. Since it has a inner sleave, you can not use a regular bead breaker. They recommend using tyrepliers.

We regularly ran at 10psi.

Christo I had seen them on your Short Bus so I knew that they had them for 6x5.5, but was surprised to see something in 5x150. Good to see more options out there for the 100 series.
