I have an 88 FJ-62 and was considering the 2.5" BDS. do any of you have experience with this particular set up? Here's a pic of my slightly modified cruiser.

I have a BDS 2.5" in my 60 and love it. I have 2"over shackles and fit 35"'s. The ride was a little stiff at first but broke in nicely. You may notice the rear will be a little higher after installation, but will settle down. Inexpensive lift, good equipment. Overall very happy. You may want to check your rear crossmember/shockmount. They are known to rust and when I installed the new shocks, they blew it right out. A little time consuming to fabricate/fix, but well worth doing it while youre under there. Watch out for your neighbor, he's been known to strip 'cruisers while thier owners are sleeping!

Just noticed you have a winch, you'll be using it a lot to pull Al out! :flipoff2:

Dude, it was wet but it was way fun. Let Jer drive a lot. Lotta sleepin on the trail, but ya gotta expect it. There were some sweet 70' s there too. You'll see the pics. Later man

Yodafrick, you got any pics of your cruiser, I would like to see what it looks like with the 35s and the BDS.

All the material i looked up says that 35's wont fit that without sum serious rubbing or cutting of the body. anything done/ happen along those lines

I got pics of Yodas truck from the last trip..Ill post up tomorrow nite...

straight... i'm just gonna start shopping around for shackles. i need to save as much cash as possible too so that i can get a new board.

I put in a 2.5 lift with slightly larger than stock shackles. I had to do some minor mods on the rear springs given the rubber boot wraps that went around the old springs. Overall, I'm pleased. Still a little stiff and bouncy, but it seems to be settling a little. I haven't had a chance to take it offroad yet. I bet some articulation would be helpful

cheers
