Anybody else coming?

I'm voting for lunch at the VC Jerkey Co. that should incentivize some of you.

I'll even drive to 100 to keep the playing field even. :flipoff2:
Even Keith's Taco should be able to keep up with us.

I'm planning on it, though I may need someone to make use of my shiny new recovery points...Lisa just came back from VC a few hours ago and told me it is seriously muddy.

Spicy pulled pork and beer!!!

If Jumbo looks too muddy, we can also pick up Goni/224 down Eastlake by the ranger station. That makes most of the climb on a more improved dirt road, then take Ophir to Jumbo up top.

DAMN!!!!
Id actually DO THIS, but we have family photos that day at 1 PM.

DRAG!

If you take Goni by the Ranger station, I'll be sure to attend. We can even use my driveway to air down if needed..

Mud shouldn't be too much of an issue, as there aren't a whole lot of off-camber spots that lead to a tumble off a cliff.

Leaving in about 15 for Soldier Meadows. Chukar chasing time ;)

Do you live down there, or work down there?

We could break in my shiny new kinetic rope!

I believe I am down for this. Looking like a great day for this as well.

I should be able to join you all tomorrow.

I'm an FJ Cruiser TT owner. It's bone stock underneath and equipped for recovery like most newbies would have it (nothing worthy of use, though I will bring what I have). So if I do get stuck, I'd be grateful for the loan of a good snatch strap. [I've been meaning on buying some recovery gear but having trouble making up my mind on what exactly to get. Advice welcomed (tomorrow, let's not hijack this thread).]

I did manage to rough install a CB radio this afternoon but have no SWR meter to tune the antenna. If anyone coming tomorrow happens to own an SWR and doesn't mind bring it, it would be great if I could get a quick tune (just good enough for the trail, I'll have to re-tune it anyones once I finish the install).

A little background about myself.

With my wife and our german shepherd mix live down in the Carson Valley. I work as a software developer, my wife spends here time volunteering at the local dog shelter. I'm an avid fly fisherman.

I use my FJ mostly to get me to where the fish are and, most importantly, back home again. I've had it on a few river/forest access roads around here, but nothing that I would call challenging. I suspect that tomorrow, especially if run into lots of mud and snow, might be the most extreme I've ever done. Cool!

I guess, you could say that I'm mostly interested in (short) expedition driving.

Anyways, looking forward to meeting you all and getting my FJ dirty!

Looking forward to wheelin' with you.

I predict there will be no need of recovery gear tomorrow.

The last time we had a bone stock FJ on this run it did fine. The area is such that it is very easy to match the route to the vehicles that show up.

I'll be there, unless the kid is too sick to attend.

I doubt we will even need a strap, much less a winch, but just in case, I have both.

If I keep hanging around this crowd, I'm going to have to get a Yota emblem from pic-n-pull to glue on the hood..

We'll see you there.

Thank for joining us Kurt. And everybody eles who showed up. This was one of the biggest turnouts we've seen on a run recently, 8 rigs in all if i counted right.

As usual VC Jerkey Co. hit a home run for the finale of the run.

I gotta fix my radiator and get my spicy pulled pork!

Sorry I missed out.

Where did you go, and how was that first hill? I haven't tried that route.
