Bay Area to Cruise Moab?

Anyone headed from the Bay Area to Cruise Moab? I am planning on heading out on Sat or Sun (28th/29th) - stop in Vegas as a midpoint and then head to Moab for some early trail runs or stop through some of our national parks in the area.

If there are others headed out I would love to join the caravan and the fun.

Not going this year... But going up through Reno is usually faster than going south to Vegas. Unless, Vegas is just a part of the fun of course!

I wish I was going. Vegas will add about an hour to your drive.

I am going the vegas route out because I want to go through the national parks that area along the way - like perhaps Bryce or Zion. I have a national parks pass so why not take advantage? I have never been through there...

I go to vegas way too much for conferences so it is not about the location so much as the cheap hotels... if I am on my own, perhaps I will just drive through and stay somewhere else... It is a good 10hr ride from my house, however, to get out there - quite a bit of driving at cruiser speeds

I know im late for the CA folks, but I will be driving from SMF to Moab via Rt 50. To I70. Leaving SMF 3May. Long driving in a 60.

from Vegas to moab is about 8 hrs, its a great drive. have your camera ready for some pics. drove straight there cupel years back took 18 hrs towing.
