I will try to give you my opinion on the OME Lift, even though I have never tried the others you are looking at; therefore, take my opinion with a grain of salt as I'm only comparing to stock.
Like you, I use my truck as a DD and want to be able to continue doing so. I also want to be able to get myself into (and more importantly, out of) hairy situations as I live near the mountains in CO and only 5 hours from Moab. That being said, I also plan on using my truck to travel with companions and gear and don't want it to sag too bad in the back, yet I want as close to a level stance as possible.
That being said, I initially upgraded to the OME medium springs and castor kit for the front. That lifted my truck about 3" in the front and about 4" in the rear even though it's a 2.5" lift. Regardless, the truck drove WAY better! It was more stable around high speed corners on the freeway and thus, I felt more in control of the truck. Despite the stiffer ride, I did not feel like comfort was at all compromised. Eventually, I was getting myself into too much trouble on the trails and decided to get an ARB bull bar and winch. When I added this I upgraded to the heavy OME springs in the front only. Unfortunately, the heavy springs with the bumper and winch did not equate to the same ride height in the front that the medium springs did without the bumper and winch -- it was lower and I had a lot more rake (stinkbug). Because I wanted to level it out just a bit, I got two 10mm OME spring spacers per side on the front (20mm of spacing on the front). This achieved what I was looking for. I still have a little bit of a rake with no passengers or gear in the back, but I'm fairly level with a fully loaded truck.
I'm also using my stock struts and have no rear bumper. I will probably get a rear bumper with tire carrier at some point and have to upgrade the rear springs to the heavies.
I hope that helps.
