My primary battery is dead in the water ,will not recharge nor boost off. So knowing that it needs replacing , will I have to replace both? Should I replace both?
Thanks

replacing just the one should be fine, but make sure you take your other in and have it tested to make sure its running the right cold cranking amps for your truck.

replace both you need good batteries and a strong starter to spin the 7.3 go with motorcraft oem's..

I just replaced both of mine. One was worse than the other, but they were both bad.

I replaced both, Costco. The original Motorcraft batteries were 7 years old. Starts mucho better.

I would replace both.

Yup, do both and MotorCraft seems to have the best warranty and dependability.

older thread..but when running dual batteries ...always replace in pairs.
