Wouldn't want to steer any business from you Darin, but since you said it's not really lucrative for you, I'll throw this out:

Used them on my boat and very happy. You choose the AWG, color, length, and ends - package arrives in a few days. Marine grade is expensive, and a tad overkill, but on our rigs…..

I used this company to build some heavy duty cables for my truck after the conversion. They are very, very well made and shipping is prompt. Highly recommended if you don't want to invest in the tooling to do your own.

While there is always "another" place or resource out there to purchase parts, cables or supplies from, please keep in mind that one thing a club or group should do is support each other. I know we all think differently, but here at our shop, we try to point people in a direction that will support other ONSC or Mud members whenever possible putting our people first.

We appreciate your support and we try to help our fellow shop owners out as well with referrals. Darin is quick to give free advice on mud or over the phone and usually daily Monday through Sunday and advice is always given with the best interests of the Cruiser in mind.

Hence the part about Darin saying he wouldn't make any money off them. I prefaced my post with this very sentiment and have heavily promoted his shop as well as others affiliated with the club.

I have "advocated" for your very plea here in the past as well, so apologies if it seemed I meant otherwise: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=8839375&postcount=270

It takes about a half hour once you have your supplies available to build these, it is why he said he doesn't make a lot off of the cables but he does make something on them. And little somethings add up at the end of the day!

No apologies necessary! My point wasn't to belittle your comment, rather to encourage people to support each other especially within ONSC. If people within the good ole USA supported each other, especially small business owners, our immediate world would be economically better off and overall people would be living better. When you continue to outsource things they tend to close up and disappear.

Who is "household6"? Is that another shop in the area? If so, welcome!

I didn't know that Darin made cables for sale. I knew he made them for his own trucks and for the builds he did, but not as a "product". That's probably due to ignorance, for which I apologize. For my own truck, I knew I needed cables, so I asked for recommendations and found Greg's Marine. Everything was laid out on his site and everything shipped promptly.

I hope everyone knows that we support Darin, and as a result, I believe that he's usually busy with work. s***, the body I have right now I bought from Darin, and we did the work at his shop, the time for which I paid for!

When someone goes out and buys an ARB bumper, do we harass them for not buying a bumper from Stan instead?

C'mon guys, we're all friends here. Let's help each other build better and safer trucks.

I wanted Die Hard batteries the last two times but could not bring myself to spend that kind of $. Ended up with an interstate. I will say that I will never buy a battery from Walmart again. They are cheap but do not last and since there is no walmart where I live makes it even more difficult for replacement.

I need to get some new cables soon as well. planning on moving one battery in my van to a frame mount.
