Battery light and air filter light flicking on together

Anyone had this ?

I know it's probably just a loose connection and could be anywhere, but every time I let the clutch out, even really gently, and the car shifts forward, these two lights are flicking on, sometimes going off again, sometimes staying on for a couple of seconds.

Similarly this happens when coming off and then getting back on the gas, the shifting of the weight of the car rearwards seems to cause it.

PS, no, the air filter does not need cleaning

Yeah, clutch and working air filter sensor are two things most here don't have.

Check the wires around the sensor before and after the air cleaner, see if something's vibrated and worn off the cover of a wire and is grounding out.

Thought I'd post up the solution for the sake of completeness !!

Drive belts..........figured it out when it started overheating after a real workout, and the power steering would go heavy for a second every now and again.
