I went to wally world to get a new battery last night(believe me, it was my only option) and they hooked it up backwards. I know one of the big fuses in the positive terminal lead is popped. It is being flat bedded to Toyota and walmart is covering all expense. What is the damage going to be?

well there isnt a fusible link but there is most likely just a regular fuse popped. Either way they fail! how could you mess that up? Wally world gets an F for this one

i guess i might first ask why you didn't replace the battery yourself - I wouldn't let any jonny at wal-mart touch my truck.... but then the next issue is probably just going to be a fuse or two... i mean honestly it might not even be that... I would say little or no problem, and attempting to power on or start the car shouldn't have made it any worse

Josh83;

Worst case here is the alternator diodes are blown &/or computer damage.

The MAIN fuse link could be blown, if the 100 series uses standard wire type fuse links. This link will handle about 100 amps and is the main charge/discharge lead.
