Are you going in from the 395 side or from the Marklieville side?

Jack
I think he was bitching about the rain or snow on Sat.

Anyway the gate is closed at HWY4 and 89 so no access to Loope canyon road.

I think you are right.

Is the run still on? I am willing to give it a shot.

What time and where is the meet up?

It would be the truck, no Jeep here. I can fit a few inside the camper for lunch. With the heater going of course:flipoff2:

Nope. I was looking at one, but it didn't work out.

I hear Denis @reno4x4 has his Jeep up for sale. That's a nice truck.

Too rich for my blood. I am looking for more of a "temporary" rig that Darcie can drive in the winter and I can use for the mild trail/snow run stuff. No need for a fully built rockcrawler. Just needs to last me for a few years, then I will get a real Jeep.

I'm looking for cheap, that maybe needs a little TLC type stuff, you know, typical Cherokee type rig.

Cherokee, the disposable 4X4.

Good choice from what you said you need.

What'll happen when you get a "real" jeep???
Build up???????? :bounce:

Yep. The build will depend on what platform I start with, it will be a TJ or newer.

I'm out.
I got roped into helping a buddy swap a motor. He needs my hoist to do it, so...

Have fun if you guys go!!

Is this going to happen?

I was just watching the weather and I don't think it will be much fun for anyone to be out. They are expecting crazy winds tomorrow.

He's had the truck for more than two months, to buy something else and start over isn't it?:grinpimp:

I think he was talking about the run. :flipoff2:

As above, I don't think I want to go either with winds expected to be in the 50 to as much as 70+ mph in the valleys and 110mph over the Sierra crests. I hate being outside in that kind of wind, especially on a trail run, you can't really enjoy being out in the backcountry.

Is this going to happen?

I would say no since no one has posted a meet or leave time. We should save this run for a better day. It will come--I hope. It is going to be crapy with the wind. I can handle snow, rain--but not the wind, it ruins a good day.

If I am wrong someone needs to say sumthin.:hhmm:

We were over by Woodfords/ Markleeville today. I think Barney Riley would be doable from 395, almost no snow in the area.
I'll be too busy setting up a trust to handle the money we win from the lottery tickets we bought today to go Saturday but we will be free almost any day after that. :grinpimp:

If you win the whole 640, don't forget the little people..... you know, the ones who lent you a broken transmission jack...
