[ Would like to see a good picture of the back side of the front turn signals. 61/62 had dual lenses. Amber front, red back.

I'm waiting for more pics on FB,but on this pic, I beleive have the red lens at the back on the turn signal.[/QUOTE]

I believe your right. I'm thinking it's a 61 production.

So what's the story on this cruiser? Do you know? I know your not in Columbia, a friend, internet find? A picture of the VIN plate would show it was made in Japan which I believe it is.

the doors are interesting because they are the bug catcher wing window doors...the tops are different from later style...also the rear bows dont have the middle 1/2 bow...may have had the bows damaged...or even made all the rear bows who knows

the vin would tell alot

it's definitly not a bandi

kinda looks like the tub was resprayed (paint on the door weatherstripping)
the top and seats had been redone
bumper painted the same color as the tub
letters painted the same green (flaking off)

maybe 1961 ? notice in the dash panel have a Light for OIL...carb have big window, oil bath for the air filter.

61 is my guess, 62 had the later style front bumper.
Oil and Gen light went thru at least 63.
That is a paper element air filter. This one is open around the top. The oil bath would of had a tube heading out the front. Depending on when in 61 it would of then had that tube hooked with a hose to a inlet on the driver's apron. My early 61 has the inlet while my later one doesn't but both are oil bath. Oil bath was a option but all US early cruiser had one until 68. 68 thru early 69 were paper element one barrel air cleaners. These 68/E69 are some of the hardest air cleaners to find. Funny we got oil bath but places like Australia and South America got the cheaper paper. Here in the US we had far more paved roads at the time.:meh:

looks like it has a high post as well

The back setion of the soft top appears to have the twist operate from the inside. I know this was a aftermarket top. Maybe this was done to add a little security since it has hard doors on the front which could be locked.

not just the twists...but also the webbing had to be pulled from the inside as well on the tailgate...somebody put some thought into that top...not very convenient however...but your right ... secure

also the sides dont zipper or remove

great pics Johnny..as always great data you share

love the OEM fogs lights...i read here that the oem brackets still for sale
