Know nothing about them, but intrigued as it seems they actually may be decent quality. No plans to trade the 8274-50 in, but maybe an ATV winch for suspension loading in the distant future?

BADLAND Vehicle and ATV Winches

One of the 4x4 mags did a winch shoot out a few months back with the good winches and the cheaper ones too. I remember some of the cheaper ones didnt do too bad. I will see if i can dig em out this weekend and give some more info.
It was either petersens fourwheel and off road or fourwheeler.

I remember the same article, however Badlands wasn't one of them, but the traditional Harbor Freight winch was. I don't know if they have both on the market, or just relabeled the HF winch with a new name.

They pulled comparable, but the question was the long term reliability of some of the winches as they hadn't been on the market very long....

they just did a group buy in 100 forum for the Titan 12000 like I have in my LX and also had in my FJC....some great pricing with synthetic line if you guys are interested the regular price is not much more than what was offered. Check it out....

I bought one of the Northern Tool winches and have put it on the trailer and it does real well. It is a 9000 lbs one.

Ramon, you got the email from the HF president too? :D

I like the idea of them, especially with the low sticker price. I want to see how they hold up over time though, with a couple of years out in the elements.
