My 2017 GX 460 decided to stop giving me my back up camera. The screen is fully functional under normal driving, but when I shift into reverse it goes black. Any ideas?

See if diagnostic mode turns anything up

Along with Acrad's diagnostic mode noted above, you can take your rear barn door panel off and pull the plug to the camera, remove the camera and try plugging it back in holding it your hand while someone is in the drivers seat with the shifter in reverse AND stepping on the brakes!
I had this happen when I had my rear MetalTech bumper installed and needed to relocate the camera. All I could see was the spare tire and jerry cans.
When I relocated the camera, I didn't us large enough gauge wire to extend the factory wiring out the the new camera location. The signal was very spotty or not at all. I went and redid the wiring with a heavier gauge wire and solved the problem ever since.
So, the sort answer to my long preamble above, is check to see if the cable connection to the camera is loose or bad.
