Well, I am back in town after a few weeks on the road (work-vacation-work-family wedding). Sorry to have missed the runs down here in S. Az.

I was changing the oil in my 80 last week and noticed diff oil on the DS birf (a drip coming off one of the big nuts down there). The gear oil is really clean and the birf still has a nice coat of grease and hasn't exploded yet. I knew that I need to do the rebuild, but was hoping to pick the time. I already have all the parts/gaskets in hand as I was planning on doing this anyway. Is there anyone in the Tucson area willing/able to supervise? I need to get a few tools, grease, towls, etc. All you have to do is sit on the ice chest, drink beer and tell me when I'm about to screw up, but you have to save at least one beer for me.

Does anyone in the Tucson area have Jim Reiss' DVD on rebuilding. I would appreciate borrowing it for a bit.

Also, all Tucson folks, don't forget about this Friday's meet.

You can do the birfs at mi casa Ross. We can pull it into the garage and I the tools and what not. You bring towels and grease and beer and some kinda solvent for cleaning the parts. I have a tub we can use to wash them in.

Thanks Alvin, I am a no go this weekend, but how about next weekend 9/17-9/18?

9/18 would work for me. It will take 6-8 hours so if we start early it would be better.
