If that fails I’m going to bench test it and possibly add a new relay. Kind of annoying to try to sell when it doesn’t function properly.

I had 3 different people come check it out and one very close to rising me 28g. I’ve removed the listing and going to list it for more. Lol. New photo shoot to come.

The bandeirante will be next on the FCR fix as they both shut down with pushrods through the firewall to the injection pump.

I want to dig through my parts stash and see if I have all the edic bits in 12v. I think I do but it's been a while.

I'm sure it's possible to get it all working on a bench....

Or it'll piss me off and I'll sell all that s*** and be happy with my pull stop 🤣

Searching for flamout solenoid valve finds an awful lot of solenoids that look like they'd work, ranging from cheap and Chinese to more expensive German ones...

Guess it would be pretty easy to just wire it up to ignition...

Even my little Kubota shuts off with the key. I should look at how it manages it.

I just never liked the idea of some little solenoid requiring power the whole time the engine is on, although that'd certainly be the easiest way to wire it.

Ya I don't like that either. You can buy time delay relays which would probably solve it though, I haven't tested any but it's on my list.

Google "adjustable time delay relay" with your voltage here's a 12v example.

Maybe I should start selling a kit 😂

A vacuum actuator might do it too, if you could find a small one with enough jam to pull the lever....like the 4wd shifter on a vac tcase....:hhmm:

I just removed one of those and threw it in my metal bin. Guess I'm digging it out tomorrow for a closer look 🤣

Seems like the solenoids are working and have continuity. I’ll bench test it but I have a feeling it’s no talking to the edic. There is some suspicious wiring by the edic. I’ll look into it.

Not to hijack the baby blue thread, but this is what the Kubota has.

Interestingly, when key is turned off it pulls for 5-10 seconds, then relaxes. Only 1 wire to it .

Electrical system on the Kubota is a joke, (2 fuses) but something must be controlling it.

well after inspecting the fuel control relay and confident that it’s not the problem. I redid all the crappy wiring to the edic just to plug it in and arching and smoke in one of the wiring harness plugs. It melted one of connections half way down to the stub. So I went deeper thinking it had melted a wire and it’s grounding it self out Just to find this. This edic motor is pooched.

Anyone have a spare 24v edic? I’ll trade for a 12 volt one or cash?

Seems that there's a lot of diesel fuel solenoid relays with timers...

Pretty sure I do. I'll have a dig my next day at home

Thought for sure I had one but I dug and only found 2 12v ones.

Edit...make that 3 12v edics. :bang:

Still thinking I have one, but it's not where it should be.

I'll keep digging around but it ain't looking good. 😔

Ah crap!

Well it was bitter sweet to see her go but time to move forward with new projects. Baby Blue has found a new home on the lower main land and the new owner is pumped. He had 3 cruisers previously and sold them all. He said he will drive this until his death bed.

I'm panning on putting turbos on both the Bandeirante and the Dyna dump truck. See if that little Toyota dyna can tow the mini and trailer. lol Maybe my hopes are too high?
