They look aftermarket to me, appear to be surface mounted with screws. I could be wrong but I don't have those on mine.
Both of my 06's have these...I added leds from superbrightleds.com. I will work on a picture tomorrow. My newest 06 has the leds in "warm" which I like better.
The original bulbs have green covers......you could just remove the covers. Same thing in the front foot wells.....
Took apart the dvd player and soldered an led board in with no success. I did do well with all of the other leds. When looking stick with the "warm" versions.... I will put a few samples of what I ended up with. My door bulbs I want to redo... There is a member here name PFRAN that sells a kit but our Cruisers are a bit different so I made my own. However I did buy PFRAN's led reverse lights...they are pretty good. I can send some night shots if you would like.
I put the following "warm color" in both of my map lights up front. http://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ower-led-rectangle-pcb-lamp-w-wedge-base/836/
In the rear cargo I also chose "warm"

This is what I used on the B-pillar and foot well.

These were used for the license plate lights outside.

This is what was used for the doors but I don't particularly care for them...so wanting to try something different.

In the cargo area I used one of these led light bars...so far one but I want to put one over the rear seats aft of the dvd player, and maybe one shining out towards the tail gate. The only thing is this light is "cold" and doesn't match the other Leds....but it puts out a ton of light!

Here is the install kit for the stereo...

The B-pillar lights have a clear cover...there is actually a green rubber cover over the original bulb from Toyota.
I will look forward to hearing what you figure out regarding the dvd Led's.
jrcnring said:I recieved my led light kit yesterday and was to eager to set everything up. But half way thru the install I forced one of the smaller led bulbs on the right footwell and might have caused a short that blew the fuse.
By any chance have you had trouble with this? I might have to go thru every fuse to figure it out.
Thanks again in advanced.
I've done this before. The LED holders have metal connects at the base which commonly line up with the bulb's base contact. Pushing too hard can short and blow a fuse as the contacts touch.. LED's and their bases are very sensitive to pressure. Don't push on the top, grip the entire bulb evenly on the sides and insert slowly, with a nice light push. They are polarity sensitive, flip the bulb if it does not illuminate. If all the lights do not turn on, check fuses. I can't remember which fuse, IIRC it's "dome"(10A).
