Marcel from AZLCA has extended an invitation to CSC to participate in the following runs that he is organizing. Send him an email if you are interested. I won't get into the politics of it all, or history between the clubs, because that was before my time here. Just consider this an olive branch from AZLCA extended to CSC, and an opportunity to wheel. I know there are several dual members in CSC already. Marcel is planning to have a dual membership as well.

I hung with Marcel and Garie Chavez of Cruiserland.com (not club affiliated for obvious reasons) at the KOOL Car Show. We got more attention than some of the 80K Chevelles that were near by. BMan even showed up and we had a great time trading stories. My impression is these are some nice folks that love cruisers and love to wheel, just like the rest of us.

Marcel's email is fj40_landcruiser@cox.net

Peace,

Fu Mann

Ok I am open to 2 dates for the run on Table Mesa road just west of I17.
The run will get us to Tiptop mine where we can wander around the old Silver mine from the 1880’s.

I will include some pictures and history on the subject in a later email.
The run will start with a meeting place of I17 and Carefree Highway, at the gas station. Time to be determined later.

We will leave there and get off at Table Mesa road, go west and take the trail to Tip Top mine and a few other smaller ones. This trail passed Tip Top mine starts to climb into the base of the Bradshaw mountains. It is very picturesque but not a real hard run. Stock vehicles can do this run easily but you still need 4 wheel drive.

We will go as far as we can on that road till we get to the three pools and the locked up rigs if any can do the run down to the creek. This would be a 3.5 run but only should take about ½ hour. If we have more time we might be able to make it to the Milk ranch where there is an old cabin and a corral that looks like it is still used.
I will try and find some Geo cash sites if any on that run so we can so a little treasure hunting. If any of you are Geo Cash type people please help me out with this task. For others go to www.geocash.com

I have 2 dates open in November.
November 11 for the run to Table Mesa.

I would like to do another run on November 25 to Crown King. This will be a harder run and would be more rated around a 3 to 3.5 run.
Stock vehicles with off road tires can make it but you could bang the bottom a bit. I have not run this after the summer rains but Trent from the Copper Stat Cruiser Club said he ran it a few weeks back and it was not bad. He made it in a stock Fj40 with no traction enhancers help like lockers.
So if you are interested in either of these runs please email me.
Both are a fun history learning experience and family oriented. Bring your wife, kids, dogs, girl friends and family.

By the way when we state off roading it does not mean we all go out and have to have these monster vehicles to go exploring the desert. I went off road exploring for years in my Pathfinder and these are still the same trails I frequent now.
Let’s have some fun and get out there since the weather is so nice.

I'm outta town on the 11th, but am definitely up to do the B/W to CK on the 25th. I've never made the run and that's real wrong!

Howdy! I am a member in both clubs, and I am glad to see us get together, at least for a few runs. I am planning on doing the Crown King trip, as it has been several years since I've been up there. John

Anyone considering the 25th for the CK B/W?
