Anyone know if this would work? Can the diff be bolted in upside down? Is the stud pattern symmetric?

Yeah, I know this is not the way to create a high pinion. I have something else funky in mind.

some grinding is necessary, but it works perfectly fine..

Howdy! So are you thinkin rear steer, dual rear axles, or you just want to go backwards alot?? John

on the front you would need to cut off the front cover and reweld upside down also.

on the back I think you could just unbolt the cover and rebolt it on

I think you need clearance for the ring gear???

Wondering if this is the same thing I've been contemplating?????

I don't see the rear fenderwells having much turning clearance w/o butchering them. Rear steer is not what I'm contemplating. Can't see any need for that in an Overland/tow rig.

If you're thinking high pinion, you would have to flip the ring gears unless you planning on going backwards a lot. I asked lots of questions about going high pinion with 60 diffs here a couple of years ago only to get slapped down solidly.

Ok then, how about duallys under the back end of an FJ45?? John
