High desert dreaming in the swamps.
I decided to fix the rip in my driver's seat in my LX this week and put the seat heater in I'd planned in. I heard b & m upholstery in Santa Fe on calle de Comercio was good, so out came the seat and in to b & m.

I picked it up today.... Looks like I'll be looking for brown 4 runner seats after all. My seat is buggered....so much for keeping the zebra stripped interior.

I can't even look at it without getting angry. His response? "we're all only human".

what did it look like before or what were you after?

OK, a quick update to be fair to B & M:

I took the seat back on Tuesday and the owner was horrified. He told me that Tano (who held himself out as the manger, but turned out to be an apprentice) had been sacked as they had been trying to teach him how to do upholstery but he kept doing "work like this".

The owner and his nephew worked on the seat right away and had it back to me this morning. I picked it up and they had it done just the way it ought to have been done to begin with: I'm very happy thus far: they even managed to fix the headrest receiver which Tano had broken. The owner was very keen to make sure I was happy and apologized for the poor quality of work.

Now to hook up my new seat heaters - which is why I took it in to begin with - warm bum for me this winter: beat that four door SUV boys:grinpimp:

I'll get some picks up shortly.

Pics of the repaired seats. Not perfect but much better and perfectly acceptable for a daily driver. The nephew is called Toby and the owner is, I think, Al.

Dude, learn to post the pics properly!!! What's with the sideways pics?

I'm missing something obvious here but what did they fix? The pics before and after look the same to me.

Glad to hear it got all sorter out though.
