Hello all. New member, first post. I just picked up a 2008 Sequoia with 48k on the clock. The truck is fully stock SR5, the only mods are aftermarket radio, Tundra headlights, led fogs and led interior lights. My family loves this truck, smooth ride and plenty of room to haul people, pets and stuff. I have a dedicated beach rig but the Sequoia may see a little bit of sand duty as well. I have been getting about 11.6 miles per gallon on avg (calculated by on board trip computer) which I'm not crying about but I feel that it's low even for Sequoia standards. We have owned the truck for about 4 months and have not taken it on a long trip yet so have no idea on the hwy mileage. We had some nice trips planned upstate but the corona virus shut that down. Is 11.6 mpg normal with average mixed driving? Future mods will be off road tires and perhaps a lift or leveling kit.

is it the 5.7 or 4.6? that's about right. My work 5.7 gets 12, 14 if I get on the hwy a lot, which I don't. My buddies 4.6 '10 gets 12 and under with 35's. You'd be lucky to get 15 going 65 on the interstate....

I have the sweet 5.7.

This on board computer??? I can’t explain this but I reset this gauge every few tanks or when towing. No doctoring or strange circumstances to cause this, just normal driving. Now I need to do a gallons/miles next fill up. See if it’s even accurate.

Lifted what year is your Sequoia? Anyone else seeing 17 mpg?
It’s an ‘08 like yours but a lot more miles!
And I wouldn’t say it’s totally flat where I am and I do use cruise control a lot right at speed limit. And I will admit that right now I live in an area where I rarely have a zone that is above 70 mph. I suppose I’ll just be grateful for it while it lasts! Bigger better tires are on the list so I guess know what to expect in the future for mpg’s
