I have an FJ 60 and want to add a second tank (for WVO). Who out there has added a second tank, lots of threads here replacing stock tank with an extended range such as JT Outfitters and Man-A-Fre, but few that discuss a second/auxillary tank. Are there any experiences out there, good/bad, that someone is interested in sharing and vendors of choice/disgust!
Thanks
Randy

There are some threads in the expedition forum on second tanks.

Sorry, should have told more but yes, I have a five speed 13 BT from an 84 BJ74 in an 86 FJ 60. I drive some 130 miles each day to/from work at Chapel Hill, NC. My first cruiser was a 94 and loved them since to include a 97, 78, and this 86 (does not include two 4 runners and an LX470). Anyway, would love to get a little more "green" in my daily commute and save some $$ at that same time. To add a WVO solution would best be suited to include a second tank.

We actually looked at buying one of the extended range tanks, cutting it open and adding a divider with a second spout for our WVO but thought that would be a waste of money when, with the spare removed, there is so much room under the cargo area. I could put a tank in the cargo area but did not want to deal with the fumes/refilling issues. And yes, thanks for the reference of the expedition threads and the WVO threads, am looking into those now.

I am impressed, this is an incredible forum of folks who really know the landcruiser inside and out. Any other advice would be appreciated, thanks.
