Where do you vent your Aux Fuel Tank?

I built a Confer style tank in the rear with a Return Line and a Vent line.

I've routed the Return line to the Aux Fuel Filler Neck overflow.

Where have you all routed the Vent line to?

I have a 78 running stock 6cyl, manual fuel pump. The main tank has the plastic fuel separator setup. Anyone tie the Aux Vent into one of the lines that goes to the fuel separator?

That depends upon whether you want it hooked up quazi smog legal, or if you want to run "one tank or the other", and to always know how much gas is in either tank. PM me your mailing address and I'll send you the instruction sheet that comes with our aux. tank---it shows either hook-up.
Note- the advantage of hooking it up conventionally (not smog legal) is that you can run either tank first, one or the other, and always know how much gas you have in either tank. When you plumb the rear tank into the stock evapo emission system, rear gas is suctioned into the front tank, and you never know exactly how much gas is in either tank---dumb!!!

the line running back to the filler neck & using a vented cap should be enough, however if you have put baffles in the tank you will need a breather tube in each section or you will get an air lock & it wont fill properly.

Downey, sent a pm. Thanks for the offer to send the instruction sheet for the tank you sell.

I did find the old Confer installation sheet in the Tech Info section. It lists the Aux Tank Vent being tee'd into the stock Fuel Separator of the Main Tank.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Downey instructions suggest.

For the time and effort that went into building this tank, I'd say buying one is not as expensive as it looked before I started the project. But I had fun building it and the skid plate.
