2008 lx570. What interface do I need to use to run my iPhone 6 for tunes? Will the aux input work? Or, is it for old school iPod interfaces?

If it's like my 2008 LC, the AUX input works for playback, but it's just a direct connection to a headphone/line-out.
Strictly audio, with all controls remaining on the phone/ipod, etc.

Ah, so it's basically useless. Do the other iPhone interfaces cause interference issues?

Yes. There’s an huge delay for voice to text on iPhone.

I wouldn't say its useless. You want to listen to music. It'll play your music.... if you want control, you'll need the bluetooth adapter module, common addition to early 200 series.
