Any advice on eliminating the buzzing noise after connecting an aux in to the tape deck? I'm guessing it's a grounding issue. I originally grounded it to the tape deck board, and I have tried a few different locations with no luck. I even connected to the battery ground and it got worse. Thanks for any input.

Did you consider adding a ground loop isolator into the cable to the music source?

I actually ordered one this week. Should be in today. I wasn't sure if they were gimmicky or not, but for $9 I guess it's worth a shot. Do these erode the sound quality?
For me, when I did a similar audio mod in my Volvo XC90 into the AM input, The sound was good until I charged the phone simultaneously while playing music was an awful noise came thru and when I disconnected power, it sounded clear, so I ordered the ground loop isolator did wonders! however not less than a week after completing this sick mod, the engine broke and the truck was sold.

Damn... sorry to hear that!
A ground loop isolator and turning down my input and turning the volume on the head unit up, between those two things my sound is crystal clear now.
