Auto Shifters (2 Viewers)

I've looked at a few different shifters and so far I kinda like the Quicksilver style.... What are guys opinions B&M, lokar, Hurst? Which style? This will be for a th350...

How easy are those to get to Neutral? My concern is that with running an auto, 4.0 front case, 2.28 split case, and 4.56 I'm going to need to use and be able to get to neutral quickly as I'll probably be driving through my brakes in stupid low...

lol... I see the photo now. Looks like getting to neutral is a breeze!

1st - If you're driving through your brakes, then your idle is too high.

I had an issue with my throttle cable being too tight and pulling on the throttle plates when in low-low-1st. At about 1500 RPM I'd drive through the brakes, but below stall speed there is no problem.

2nd - Any of the ratchet type shifters suck major donkey ass off road. A gated shifter like the Art Carr is the way to go.

I put a Lokar into my truck, i wish i would have gone with the art Carr.. and don't even bother with the ratchet style ones.. ive heard horrible things..

I have used and installed many, and they all work fine.


Lokar makes a lot of very high-quality products.

Well, decided to go with the Art Carr as long as I can get one fairly quickly. If not I kinda dig the quicksilver as its the least rat-sh*tty of the bunch. Thanks everyone.

I have a B&M like the Hurst quarterstick. I like it except it is a little tough to get in reverse quick without a little modification.
