any one that has read my threads from time to time knows that i look at places to move to about as much as dave looks at trucks to buy.

well, i think it is finally going to happen. i think the job offer is about to come for my wife for an interactive firm in austin tx. we love it there and are excited for the move.

cruiser content? of course i am already planning the roadtrip... you can check it out here in the expeditions section:

input feedback greatly appreciated as i have never been on a trip like this...

Can we all come down and visit? (at the same time?)

Good luck! Man no more snow, salt, rust. We'll give you a good reference when you
apply to Lone Star Cruisers!

You and me both. I've been trying to move for 6 years.

it was a long time coming for us... first it was denver, then i got a great job here... then my work was going to move us to los angeles, then they backed out (thank god)... now, hopefully, we have an offer coming in the next few days.... from austin, where my wife went to grad school and loved it. i have been a couple times and share the sentiment.

had a friend that lived there for 10 years and loved every minute of it. Apparently it's TX without all the hillbilly stuff.....

yeah the worst part of it is that it is surrounded by texaS...

Austin ROCKS, Iam going on 20 years here... ;) Large cruiser community, and plenty to do.
If you need any help, please shoot me a e-mail, I'll round up the local guys and make sure we have a big TEXAS welcome for you when you arrive.

I hate Texas. That's why we are moving back north to New Hampshire in about 3 years. Kind of a long haul plan to do the move.

I do like Austin, in OCTOBER - DECEMBER when it's a LITTLE COOLER. Sometimes the Autumn is really Autumn... but not always.

I live in San Antonio, about an hour south of Austin. A little less if you drive over 70.

Keep in mind, it's going to be 20 degrees tonight and tomorrow is going to have a high of 35.
Theirs a possibility of 6 to 12 inches of snow for Monday
Yeah New Hampshire is awesome

I do, too. The job market in New England is bad right now, though. I looked into moving to NH a couple years ago, but the pay was pretty low and the housing was on par with MA. Try and find a snowmobile while you're still in TX. I can't imagine they're worth much down there.

I went to a Polaris dealer in town (San Antonio, Tx) and asked if he could get me a snowmobile I saw on the Polaris web site. The look on his face was worth more than the snowmobile... haha:D

Well, when we move my wife will be working as a Pharmacist, and I will probably still be diving for a while (I'll just fly to Louisiana to work). Maybe a year or two, and then we're going to open a business. I'd rather be my own boss anyway.
